Mon. 6/3- 6/6- Dinosaurs and Dragons Drawing Camp 10-12 AM (ages 6+) $160 For the ferocious imaginations! Kids will make several drawings bringing prehistoric beasts like the T-rex and stegosaurus to life. We will also design and create many types of dragons, and even try a little bit of origami. A fun mix of science, imagination, and art! And of course we'll visit a special dragon named Toothless. @ Elm Street Studio


Mon. 6/3- 6/6- Graphite Pencil Drawing Camp 1-4 PM (ages 8+) $240 For the serious artist interested in rendering art with pencil. Students will explore a variety of subjects including animals, people, and landscapes to learn how to use many grades of pencils to render realistic shadows, lighting, and textures. This camp is popular be sure to register asap! @ Elm Street Studio


Sat. 6/1-8/31 - Story Bites - Summerglen. Every Saturday from 10:30-11:30 AM

(K-5th grade). Join us for a relaxing hour where we will listen to a book while coloring and sip some lemonade. It's an hour of stories for older children with a side of art. @ Fort Worth Public Library


Wed. 6/5- Every Tuesday in June. Stroller Stories - 10-10:45AM (ages 18 months-3 years) Make new friends as we enjoy the outdoor walking trail at the Vivian J. Lincoln Library! Load up your little one and their stroller to enjoy walking, singing, chatting, stretching and moving in ways that promote fine motor skills and early learning for your child. After we walk, we’ll read a book or two together and sing fun songs. @ Fort Worth Public Library


Wed. 6/5- Narwhals and Waterfalls (all ages) 10:30am in the meeting room

Join internet sensation Narwhals and Waterfalls for a musical performance full of good messages, good feelings, and good vibes!

Wed. 6/5- Small Scientists- Know a Small Scientist in need of a laboratory? Join us each month at the library for STEM stories and sensory explorations. Sometimes messy but always fun! As a destination for discovery, your Fort Worth Public Library is a location for learners of any age. We designed this program for 18-36-month-olds and their grown ups. 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM @ Golden Triangle Library


Wed. 6/5-7/17- Art with Mr. Novy! @2-3:30PM. Make some art with retired art teacher, Mr. Novy! Each date has a specific project assigned and a specific age range.

Wed. 6/5-8/28 - Music and Movement - Wedgewood @ 10:30-11:15 AM. Every Wednesday from June-August. Join us for songs and activities that will have you and your little one moving and grooving! Singing songs and practicing movement activities builds language, motor, and social and emotional skills. Music and Movement programming is intended for children 3-5 years old and their grown-ups. @ Fort Worth Public Library


Thu. 6/6 - Big Vehicle Day @ 10-12 PM. Come see trucks, buses, and more behind the library! Take photos with your favorite vehicles and see what activities some have in store for you. Support the Friends of the Library and local entrepreneurs by purchasing from our invited food trucks! We're excited to have Kona Ice (snow cones) and To Chai For (chai and waffles) with us for this hot, summer event.

The community center has a maximum capacity of 103, so arrive early if you want to make sure to get a seat. @ Haslet Community Center


Fri. 6/7- Little Builders - Reby Cary Youth Library @ 12-1 PM (ages 3-5) Bring your preschooler to learn and play with LEGO® and DUPLO® brick building! We will focus on areas like problem-solving, patterns, alphabet and more.

Sat. 6/8 - The Keller Pointe is Turning 20! This FREE event is open to anyone to come enjoy all the fun at The Keller Pointe! We'll have pop-ups, classes, vendors, snacks, swimming, and MORE! Sat. 6/8 - Prince & Princess Day Roanoke - The Little Mermaid and her prince are coming to Hawaiian Falls Roanoke! Grab your crown and cape and join us for refreshing fun for our Prince and Princess Day and come meet a real prince and princess from 11am to 3pm! Plus, dance like royalty with a DJ dance and foam party.

Sun. 6/9 - 8/25 - Every Sunday from June - August. Pokemon Club - Southwest Regional @1-2pm. Do you know all the evolutions of poliwag? Do you have a sweet Pokemon card collection? Are you the Poke Master of Fort Worth and you’d like to prove it? Join us for Pokemon Club! We designed this program for families with children of all ages to enjoy.

Mon. 6/10-6/13- Horses and Unicorns Drawing Camp- 10 AM- 12 PM (ages 6+) $160 For the horse lovers! Kids will make several drawings to explore different techniques of drawing horses, from realistic breeds, horses in motion, and fantasy-like unicorns! We'll even try a little bit of origami. @ Elm Street Studio


Mon. 6/10-6/13- Cartooning Camp Camp- 1 PM- 4 PM (ages 8+) $240 A week-long drawing course exploring the whimsical world of cartoon drawing. Students will learn techniques to draw several well-known cartoon characters, superheroes, and video game characters, and even create their own. Subjects will include characters from Pokemon, Sponge Bob, Phineas and Ferb and more! @ Elm Street Studio

Fri. 6/14 - Summer Reading Program Kick Off Event @ 12-4 PM in City Hall Park. We will have plenty of activities for you to enjoy like a petting zoo, pony rides, balloon artist, pirate ship ride, and so much more! Special thanks to Papa's Sunshine Sno Ball Co. for selling snowcones at this event, 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the library.

Sat. 6/15- Special Needs Screening at Studio Movie Grill- 11 am Our sensory-friendly Special Needs Screenings present movies with the lights up, and the volume low, and moving around, talking, and even dancing in the aisles are welcome. Special Needs Screenings are shown on select Saturdays at all SMG locations unless noted otherwise. Tickets are available at the Box Office only as early as the Wednesday prior to these screenings. Tickets are free for all attendees and seating is first come, first served. Movie: The Garfield Movie


Sat. 6/15 - Adventure Scavenger Hunt (all ages) (in the children’s area). Children of all ages should stop by the library to attempt adventure-filled scavenger hunt and pick up a to-go craft kit! @ Keller Public Library

 

Mon. 6/17-6/20- Painting- 1 PM- 4 PM (ages 8+) $260 Get ready to paint! A summer favorite. Students can expect to make 4 to 5 small paintings on canvas of various subjects from abstract, to animals, to landscape while trying different painting techniques. All painting materials and canvases are supplied. @ Elm Street Studio


Tue. 6/18 - Summer Camp Any Kids 8-13 Years, Come Join Us: Main Event Fort Worth. iPlanets Academy In-Home Private 24 Hours Pre-Kindergarten/K-8th Hybrid Homeschool & Summertime Learning. Wed. 6/19 - Free Admission Day. Bring your family and unplug, unwind, and let nature weave its magic. FWBG’s free admission days are an invitation for all to explore this 120-acre sanctuary of nature in the middle of the city. Fri. 6/21 - Late Night at the Library Family Adventure Camp @7-9pm (families w/kids ages 8-15). We‘re taking over the whole library for this exciting after-hours family experience that offers adventure in every corner! Play laser tag, learn to trick jump rope, take the hot wing challenge, have an animal encounter, moonwalk through the stacks, dive into augmented reality, win prizes, challenge your family to a game of giant Jenga, and MORE! Thu. 6/27 - Read to Miss Frida (4th Thursday of every month @ 5:30-7:30PM) (Intended for kids 5-12). If you're a new reader or working on your confidence, Miss Frida is here to help! Join us at WPL to practice reading. You can read silently or aloud (though Miss Frida prefers hearing stories). About Miss Frida: Miss Frida is a 10-year-old Irish Setter and Watauga resident. She is a certified Good Canine Citizen (AKC) and Therapy Dog (Alliance of Therapy Dogs and Heart of Texas Therapy Dogs). Some of her favorite things: snacks, pupcups, road trips, and meeting new friends.

Thurs. 6/27- Sensory Time at Haltom City Library- 2-3:30 pm We will have different stations to explore the various senses! While this program is intended for ages 1 to 3 and other children who identify as neurodivergent, we do welcome older siblings as it is summer but they must be respectful of the younger crowd as this program is specifically intended for them! @ Haltom City Public Library
