Wed. 5/1- Sensory Time- 3-5 pm (all ages) Welcome to Sensory Time at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History! Lighting and sound are adjusted to accommodate our visitor’s sensory needs. Sensory Time is included with regular admission. Sensory backpacks include several items that may help guests with sensory needs enjoy their visit to the museum. Backpacks are first come, first served and are available for guests to check out at the ticket counter.

Wed. 5/1- Small Scientists- Join us each month at the library for STEM stories and sensory explorations. Sometimes messy but always fun!

As a destination for discovery, your Fort Worth Public Library is a location for learners of any age. We designed this program for 18-36-month-olds and their grown-ups. 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM @ Golden Triangle Library


Thus. 5/2 -5/5- Mayfest is the biggest community celebration in Fort Worth! Four days of live music, festival food, carnival rides, performing arts, pet adoptions, live demonstrations, stilt walkers, more than 100 Art and Gift Market vendors, free children's activities, special attractions - the list goes on and on!

Sat. 5/4- Touch a Truck. Ever wanted to climb in the driver's seat of a fire truck or police car? Now is your opportunity! Come to Independence Park East to meet the Town of Trophy Club's operators of emergency response vehicles and heavy machinery! Kids of all ages will be able to climb in the drivers seat, learn more about the equipment, and even honk the vehicle's horn! 10:00AM - 12:00PM *For a sensory-friendly experience, where honking will not be allowed, please arrive at 9:30am

Sun. 5/5- Sunday Make Break (all ages) 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Join us in-store to create a painting inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, celebrating AAPI Month! Purchase a square canvas and we’ll provide the paint, brushes, and other supplies.

Tues. 5/7- Inverted Chalk Art- 4:30 pm (ages 11-17) Create colorful stencil silhouettes with this inverted chalk art craft @ Keller Public Library


Wed. 5/8- Ballet Lesson- 5 pm (ages 3-5 & 6 pm for ages 6-9) @ Keller Public Library

Sun. 5/12- Mother’s Day Brunch at Fort Worth Zoo- 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Looking for a wild way to spend Mother's Day? Celebrate the moms in your life with an exclusive Mother's Day Brunch @ the Fort Worth Zoo


Mon. 5/13- Water Safety- 5 pm Keller Pointe will read a story and talk about water safety and how to be confident in the pool. Preparation saves lives!

Tues. 5/14- Teen Time Capsules- 4:30 pm (ages 11-17) Join us for a hands-on time capsule workshop where you'll craft memories to be unearthed by future generations. @ Keller Public Library


Wed. 5/15- WizArt- 5 pm (ages 5-12) mini art lesson @ Keller Public Library


Thurs. 5/16- Back to the Past- 5 pm (all ages) reach into the past with Keller History Museum. American Girl books and kits will be available for purchase. @ Keller Public Library


Sat. 5/18- Family Fun Day- 10 am - 12 pm (all ages) Learn all about Sunshine PPECC and enjoy family fun activities @ Sunshine Pediatric Day Center


Sat 5/18- Angelman Walk- 10 am Join us to celebrate the trailblazers in the AS community who started a ripple of impact. We will raise funds to support the ASF mission and have a great time doing it. @ Johnson Road Park Keller, TX


Sat. 5/18- All Aboard!- 5 pm, (for families) Join us for a storytime about trains. Everyone who attends will receive a train whistle, while supplies last.

Sun. 5/19- Sunday Make Break (all ages) 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Join us in-store for this fun tie-dye project. Purchase a shirt then head to the MakeBreak table to create a shirt!

Sun. 5/19- Sensory Sunday @ the Crayola Experience- 10 am-12 pm Join us on the third Sunday of each month for Sensory Sunday!* Enjoy the attraction adapted just for sensory needs. Lights will be dimmed, Music will be turned off, Quiet room available. No additional charge is included in general admission—more information on the Facebook event page. Tues. 5/21- Teen Advisory Board- 4:30 pm (ages 11-17) TAB is for teens and tweens who want to become active in their community and library. Discuss upcoming events, help plan future programs, and earn up to 1.5 volunteer hours- email rwashington@cityofkeller.com for info!

Fri. 5/24- Anime Club- 4:15 pm (ages 11+) Meet other anime fans! Watch two Naruto episodes and complete an anime-themed craft. @ Keller Public Library


Sat. 5/25- Special Needs Screening at Studio Movie Grill- 11 am Our sensory-friendly Special Needs Screenings present movies with the lights up, the volume low, and moving around, talking, and even dancing in the aisles are welcome. Special Needs Screenings are shown on select Saturdays at all SMG locations unless noted otherwise. Tickets are available at the Box Office only as early as the Wednesday before these screenings. Tickets are free for all attendees and seating is first come, first served. Movie: IF @ All Studio Movie Grill Locations

Fri. 5/31- Walk & Roll 5K- (all ages) This is our Second Annual WALK AND ROLL 5K (and of course, you can run too!) raising money for kids to participate in life-changing intensive therapy, traditional therapy that may not be covered by their insurance plan, and other specific needs not covered by insurance. This great event will be followed by a Summer kick-off party with bounce houses, face painting, food trucks, cold treats, and more! Kids 5 and under are FREE with at least one adult registration.
